What led you to consider a career in consulting? 

I have had exposure to several transactional industries and although I gained valuable experience, I often felt I was not making sufficient impact. In an ever-changing commercial landscape, I wanted to help businesses adapt and look after their people. I returned to university and completed further study, joined Escient, and have never looked back.

Can you share a moment at Escient that really made you feel proud to be part of this team? 

I felt proud to be part of the team well before my first day. After my application was successful, I was invited along to branch meetings, social events and even a volunteer day. I was amazed by how welcoming and friendly everyone was, the transparent communication within the organisation, and how everybody celebrated others’ successes. It was reassuring to see people genuinely care about their work and their colleagues. I felt proud to be joining an incredible group of people doing great things and I have felt proud to be part of the team ever since.

How is Escient different from other places you’ve worked at?

Many companies say their people are their most important asset. The difference with Escient is that we back that up with action. At Escient, I have always been listened to, supported and valued. There are endless opportunities to help make a difference and my title or experience level have never been a limiting factor. The values and behaviours embodied by our leaders are unparalleled. Leadership is contagious, and I feel confident that Escient can achieve anything with great leaders at the forefront.
